It's just that the most obvious things to do, moment to moment, are to run missions, to obtain better ships, to then go and fight against larger numbers. For a game that is so "abstract", where you can do "anything" you want, the game tries very hard to pigeonhole you into missions. When all you do is missions, what other opinion but "grindy" would you get? That this is a good, fun way to pass time?
One of my alts hasn't done a single mission outside the tutorials and is sitting at 800k sp and 500 mil isk. CCP failing hard at pigeonholing me. Feels good.

Jack Hayson wrote:Lol, renters... Eve is actually the least grindy MMO I've ever played. Of course, if all you do is grind anoms in your little renter system so that you can pay the rent so that you can continue grinding, then yes - it's grindy. Solution: get your arse out of that stupid renter corp and go do something fun. There is a lot more to Eve than grinding anoms.
I agree. This MMO requires the LEAST amount of grinding I've ever played. If you think this is grindy, I can't imagine you playing EQ at its prime or any other MMO for that matter.

One of your alts has the privilege of being played by a person who isn't actually new to the game.
A monkey could do what I do on that alt for ISK and have fun doing it. It is the same way I made ISK when I first started so yes, a new player is very capable.
